It is less than a week until the 6th annual Impact National Conference in Toronto!  A couple of days ago, I was given yet another reason to why Impact is so amazing:

I got an email that said that Mike McDerment, CEO of Freshbooks was coming to Vancouver to speak for the Vancouver Entreprise Forum.  Freshbooks is a great Canadian success story that I have followed for a while, and seeing Mike speak would’ve been a great experience.  Unfortunately, he was coming to Vancouver during the week that I was going to be away in Toronto.  Since I was going to miss his visit, I made a decision that I would track down Mike and get him to meet with me in Toronto over the next two weeks.  I proceeded to start searching to find his email address so that I could track him down.  My Google results led me somewhere unexpected: to the Impact National Conference website!  Turn out that Mike will be giving an intimate workshop to 60 of Canada’s top aspiring entrepreneurs at next week’s Impact conference!

As it turns out, the amazing INC team was able to secure him as a speaker, even without knowing of my strong desires to connect with him!  Good luck to the entire team as we prepare for the final week before the conference!  I’m really looking forward to meeting Mike and all of the other speakers at this year’s event.
